12oz Bleached Polyester (Heat-set) Canvas

Our 12oz Bleached Polyester (Heat-set) Canvas is made from 100% polyester heat-set yarns. This canvas has a crisp white finish and is available in a 2 Meter width. This canvas has a soft feel and a beautiful drape to it.

What is heat setting? 

Heat setting is the process applicable to fabrics made from synthetic fibres like polyester in which the fabric is subjected to the action of high temperatures for a short time to make it dimensionally stable so that upholstery applications or garments made from such fabrics retain their shape during washing and ironing. The main aim of heat setting fabric is to ensure the dimensions of the fabric are not altered.

Heat-setting is a heat treatment by which shape retention, crease resistance, resilience and elasticity are imparted to the fibres. It also brings changes in strength, stretchability, softness, dyeability and sometimes on the colour of the material. Our 12oz Bleached Polyester (Heat-set) Canvas also be used seamlessly for a range of applications including upholstery, slipcovers, drapery, bags and artist canvas.
