To effectively clean Hunter Douglas Awning Canvas, start by addressing water-based stains through a cold water rinse. If this proves insufficient, delicately wash the canvas with fragrance-free soap and warm water, followed by a thorough rinse with clean water. It is crucial to avoid using high-pressure hoses during the rinsing process.
Extend the cleaning process to the underside, employing the same method as used for the topside. Additionally, don't forget to wash and rinse the metal frame. The underside tends to accumulate grease from open windows, vents, and BBQs, so consider using grease-cutting dish soap if needed. Once the awning fabric is clean, apply a pre-treatment to deter mildew, provide UV protection, and enhance water resistance or waterproofing for the material.
